Following last week’s record outstanding A Level results, students at JFS have once again obtained excellent GCSE results with another outstanding performance this year, exceeding last year’s achievements. The most notable feature is that 47.5% secured an A* or A grade up from 46.2% last year while national results have fallen. The overall pass rate was 99.9%.
Among many exceptional individual achievements are those of Oskar Hollinsworth (11A*s and 1A), Jamie Ingall and Olivia Pomeranc (11A* grades), Benjamin Hilton and Kadya Wittenberg (10A*s and 2As), Ella Goldwater, Hannah Cesarani, Arielle Domb and Hannah Koffman (10A*s), Baruch Gilinsky, Jacob Lerman and Emma Morris (9A*s and 2 As) Jessica Fishman, Charlotte Levy, Annabel Mahgerefteh, Ronel Meytar and Alexander Woffenden (9A*s and 1A).
Exceptionally, 64 students (more than a fifth of our intake) achieved an A* or A in at least nine of their GCSE examinations. This is another JFS record building on those set last week with the A Level results. Additionally, 18 Year 9 students (100%) who took Ivrit GCSE early passed with A* grades, reflecting the School’s continued commitment to Modern Hebrew.
Headteacher, Jonathan Miller said, “These excellent results, once again, are testament to the hard work of all of our students and staff. We are delighted that so many of our students supported by their families have achieved and surpassed their potential, enabling them to proceed to the next stage of their education with confidence.”
