In this section of the website you can read about some of the many varied and exciting events that take place at JFS. For a more comprehensive overview, photos and updates please follow us on Facebook and Twitter.

The Santiago String Quartet were back at JFS recently to record the Year 12 compositions. As part of their coursework, ‘AS’ Level students compose a string quartet piece which is then recorded by the Quartet. Students were given the freedom to compose in any style that they choose, so a range of genres were heard throughout the day, such as Jazz, Classical and Latin.

JFS hosted a Year 8 Brent girls football fixture as part of the Brent league. The girls played two matches, losing narrowly to St Gregory’s School and beating Kingsbury High School 5-0, with Jazi scoring a hat-trick!

The girls put in a fantastic effort and go in to the last fixture, after Pesach, in a great position to progress to the Semi-Finals.

JFS has received national recognition for the value it adds to enable students’ high achievement at GCSE.

SSAT, the Schools, Students and Teachers Network, recently undertook its annual in-depth analysis of official Department for Education data on all state-funded schools in England and identified JFS’s success.

The JFS 1st XI have reached the Final of the Middlesex Brigg Cup. The final will be played in a few weeks once a date with the opposition can be agreed. Middlesex is a talented county for football and to have made it through to the final is a feat not to be underestimated. The competition is similar to the Champions League, with four groups of five in the First Round, then a Quarter and Semi-Final. JFS have only reached the Final on one other occasion, six years ago.

We are delighted to launch - a new network for JFS Alumni. We hope that as many Alumni as possible will sign up and make us of the site.

JFS Connect offers an opportunity for Alumni to stay connected andto build on their professional business networks. It is an opportunity to mentor, or to find a mentor, to seek advice and leverage your professional network as well as supporting the School.
