In this section of the website you can read about some of the many varied and exciting events that take place at JFS. For a more comprehensive overview, photos and updates please follow us on Facebook and Twitter.

Following a competition win at Capital City Academy in February, a group of 19 Year 9 students were asked to represent Brent at the London Youth Games (LYG) at the Copper Box on the Olympic Park.

The JFS community celebrated an unforgettable Purim morning filled with food, fun, and fancy dress. The array of costumes sported by staff and students alike, showed the extraordinary creativity of the JFS family.

As part of the Brent Football League, our Year 8 Girls team continued their unbeaten run this season with a 0 - 0 draw against St Gregory’s Catholic School and a 3 - 0 win against Wembley High Tech College.

Goals were provided by Minnie and Amelie, with an outstanding performance from Sarah, in defence.

Year 12 and 13 English Language students recently attended the EMC English Language conference at Friends House in Euston.

Students enjoyed a stimulating and entertaining day listening to five dynamic speakers and gaining new insight into the English language.

Two staff members, Miss Thoret and Mrs Simons, were nominated for the PaJeS Jewish School Awards which took place last week.

We are delighted to announce that Mrs Simons was the winner of the Secondary Hebrew Teacher of the Year category and that Miss Thoret was one of three finalists in the Secondary Assistant Head/Deputy Head category.

We congratulate them both on their well-deserved accolades.
