Year 8 students have been taking part in an Indonesian Gamelan workshop. Gamelan is one of the Year 8 Music topics which all students are currently studying. A full Gamelan orchestra was brought in to school and students were given the opportunity to play a range of these instruments such as the Gongs, Slenthem and Bonang. Student Officer Training
When prospective students come to JFS for the first time, it is always a daunting and nerve-racking experience. From congested corridors to busy lunch queues to a crowded bag park, Student Officers are appointed to help the school run more smoothly and make the experience for both students and teachers more pleasant.

Three generations of families came into JFS and made their way to the main hall to be welcomed by Mr. Miller. He spoke briefly about the school’s history, and the need to embrace our family history. Every year, hundreds of parents, grandparents, friends and just people wanting a great night out, come along to the JFS PTA Supper Quiz, for great food, great company and great fun and it raises vital funds for our school. The Annual Supper Quiz is indeed our main fundraiser so if you don't attend any of our other events please ensure that at least you attend this one. The equipment that we buy for the school may well be hard used and much needed by your own child or a child that you know.
