Sixth Form

The JFS Sixth Form is one of the largest and most successful Sixth Forms in the country. The Sixth Form has dedicated facilities including its own Mezzanine Café, Study Areas, Sixth Form Laboratories, Art Studios, Art and Design Workshop, Photography Laboratory and Dark Room to name but a few. The Conference Centre is a space where distinguished visiting speakers address the Sixth Form and debate and explore key issues of the day.

With the expansion of JFS since its relocation, we have more than 150 applications each year to transfer from other schools, mostly from the independent sector. Because over 90% of our Year 11 students progress into the JFS Sixth Form, the number of spaces available to non-JFS students is very limited. We do not recommend that parents take a chance on bypassing Years 7 to 11 in the hope that their child can enter JFS later!

The reasons for the high level of demand are:-

  • The quality of teaching is outstanding
  • There is a very broad range of curriculum opportunities
  • The Jewish dimension of the Sixth Form provides a stimulating range of learning appropriate to the concerns and issues of young adults
  • There is a warm, friendly and supportive atmosphere amongst the student body
  • Our Sixth Form examination results are outstanding.
