Year 13 student, Steven Reingold, hit the headlines this week after playing a key role in preparing English all-rounder, Ben Stokes, for his epic innings of 258 in the Second Test against South Africa in Cape Town. Steven interrupted a family holiday in South Africa to answer an ‘SOS’ from the England batting coach and Stanmore Cricket Club colleague, Mark Ramprakash. The whole Sixth Form cohort at JFS welcomed Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis, who is the 11th Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth.  The Chief Rabbi began his talk by stating that JFS is one of the greatest Jewish schools in the world and that he is proud of the success of the School and that our students are products of a wonderful Jewish Education.

He encouraged the students to be good Jews. Not to wait until it is too late to make a difference to the world around us and to enrich our society with good deeds.
