Applications to the JFS Sixth Form Centre for September 2016
Students currently in Year 11, wishing to transfer to the JFS Sixth Form in September 2016, can still submit a Late Application.
Late Applications will be considered once the GCSE Results are received in August. Late Applicants will need to complete the Certificate of Religious Practice (CRP).
Applicants who are able to submit a completed Certificate of Religious Practice (CRP) with their application, will be given priority above those who do not submit a CRP. Please scroll to the bottom of the page to download and print off the CRP.
All applicants must also submit a JFS Supplementary Information Form (SIF)..
Current JFS Students, wishing to transfer to the Sixth Form in September 2016, will not be required to complete a CRP or follow the above procedure. For further information about internal transition to the Sixth Form, please contact the current Director of Studies or Year Manager for Year 11.

Minimum GCSE Qualifications for the JFS Sixth Form
'A' Level Subjects
Six passes at Grade B or above are normally required for a 4 ‘A’ Level programme. Normally, candidates must have at least a grade B in the specific subjects they wish to study. Specific course requirements are outlined with the details of all courses we offer in our curriculum information section http://www.jfs.brent.sch.uk/sixth-form/the-curriculum . Students who have not achieved our minimum qualifications will only be admitted to the Sixth Form if we believe they will be able to cope successfully with a course/subject programme.
Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education - Early Years Educator - CACHE COURSE (Equivalent to three 'A' Levels)
Five passes at C or above including Child Development for the CACHE course.
BTEC Diploma in Hospitality (Equivalent to two 'A' Levels)
Four to five GCSEs Grade C or above, which should include English and Maths.
BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Business (Equivalent to one 'A' Level)
Students should have six GCSE passes at Grade B, including English Language or Literature and Mathematics.
BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Creative Media Production (Equivalent to one 'A' Level)
The minimum specific requirement for ‘A’ Level Media Studies is Grade ‘B’ in both English Language and Literature at GCSE.
The minimum specific requirement for BTEC Media Studies is at least a C grade in English Language and/or Literature as well as a keen interest in the practical application of Media Studies.
