JFS is not simply a school, it is a foundational pillar of the British Jewish community, an institution that embodies nearly three centuries of education, achievement and aspiration.

Since its founding in 1732, JFS has carried a profound identity as both an engine of opportunity and a guardian of Jewish tradition. Today, JFS is more than a regular state school. It is Europe’s largest Jewish school, educating over 2,100 students every day. For our community, it remains the flagship institution where education and Jewish identity are woven seamlessly into academic excellence.

Every JFS student experiences more — more opportunity, more care, more connection. That “more” defines our standard and sets us apart from other state schools. But having more comes at a cost. Government funding doesn’t even cover the basics, and to have more, we need more.  The excellence that defines us — the “more” — comes with a funding gap of approximately £3 million each year.

By supporting us. you ensure that the strength, confidence, and continuity of the Jewish community will endure, M’dor L’dor — from generation to generation. Together, we will continue to empower our young people to dream without constraint and to lead with purpose, pride, and Jewish values.

We do more. It costs more. But it creates the excellence our children and community deserve.
