Operation Encompass
Our school is part of Operation Encompass, a national partnership between schools and the police.
Operation Encompass ensures that the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is informed, prior to the start of the next school day, when a child or young person has been exposed to or involved in a domestic incident. This enables us to provide immediate and appropriate support to those affected.
All information shared with the school is handled in strict confidence and is only used to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our students.
What this means for parents?
Being part of Operation Encompass means that:
-
If the police attend a domestic incident where a child from our school is present, the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) will be informed before the start of the next school day.
-
The information is shared confidentially and only with the safeguarding team.
-
This helps us to provide the right support for your child, as soon as it is needed.
-
Our priority is always your child’s safety, wellbeing, and education.
